International development faces serious challenges, whoever wins the next election. With domestic spending cuts a real possibility, protest at the continued historically high level of spending on aid is inevitable. It is likely that the aid budget will face a tough fight.

Last year, the Liberal Democrats put forward their ideas on international development in a policy document, which outlined its support for the 0.7% of GDP, a call to redouble efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and recognition that aid sometimes fails and that financial aid is perhaps the most effective way of providing support.

At 11 am (GMT) on Tuesday March 16, the Liberal Democrat spokesman on international development, Michael Moore, will be online live for one hour to answer questions about party policies and issues comprehensive support and development.

Read Party policy document and the report by Anne Perkins on the policies of the Liberal Democrats "and then post a question. You can send a question now and again on Tuesday.
